The Black Widow dances her way through the dark scene since the late 80s/begin 90s. In the late 90s she organized the XXX-parties in Leuven (Waaiberg) where she was behind the turn tables, spinning her first dark tunes with some befriended dj’s. Under her dj name ‘Emma’, she became one of the resident dj’s of the XXX-parties. After a long break, she decided in the beginning of 2023 to return to the dj booth as dj ‘The Black Widow’. The name ‘The Black Widow’ was easily chosen since she already uses the name for her dark photography project. Since the end of 2023 she became resident dj at Porta Nigra.
